Meat pie with potatoes

Ingredients

Dough

  1. Flour 250 grams
  2. Egg 1 pc.
  3. Water 1-2 tbsp
  4. Salt 1/3 tsp
  5. Peppers mix to taste
  6. Margarine 120 grams
  7. Baking powder 1/4 tsp

Filling

  1. Minced turkey 500 grams
  2. Tomato paste 3-4 tbsp
  3. Onion 1 pc.
  4. Smoked bacon 80 grams
  5. Egg 1 pc.
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Pepper to taste
  8. Rosemary 2 sprigs
  9. 2 cloves of garlic
  10. Vegetable oil for frying
  11. Potatoes 4-6 pcs.

Cooking:

Step 1: knead the dough.


Sift flour directly onto the countertop. Add the egg, cold margarine, water, salt, a mixture of peppers and baking powder. Knead a thick dough with your hands.

Roll the dough into a ball, pack it in foil or film and send it to rest in the refrigerator for 40 minutes.

Step 2: prepare the filling.


Boil potatoes in slightly salted water. Cool, peel and cut into circles.
Dice the bacon and fry in oil, then add finely chopped onions, garlic and chopped rosemary to it. Sauté for a few minutes, then add the minced meat.
When the meat is browned, add the tomato paste, mix and continue cooking until the water has evaporated.
Season the filling with salt and pepper. Cool and mix with the egg.

Step 3: form a meat pie with potatoes.


Roll the chilled dough into a layer 3-4 mm thick, 38 cm in diameter. Put the dough in a mold, form the sides.
Put minced meat on the dough.

Put potatoes on top of the minced meat and wrap the edges of the dough, slightly covering the potato slices.
With a beaten egg, grease the dough and potato slices. Sprinkle the cake with pepper.

Step 4: bake a meat pie with potatoes.


Bake meat pie with potatoes in a pre-warmed up 180 degrees oven for 45-50 minutes.

Step 5: serve the meat pie with potatoes.


Before serving, allow the cake to cool slightly, then remove from the mold and cut into pieces. Serve as the main course, the meat filling is juicy, and the dough is crispy.
