Fish casserole


  1. Small fish (hamsa, kilka, sprat, sausage, herring) 1.2 kg
  2. Spinach Leaves 0.5 kg
  3. Hard cheese 3/4 cup
  4. Onion 1 medium
  5. Garlic 2-3 cloves
  6. 2 pcs egg
  7. Breadcrumbs to taste
  8. Vegetable oil to taste
  9. Italian herbs to taste
  10. Pepper to taste
  11. Salt to taste

Wash the fish, remove the entrails. Fry the onion until transparent. Add finely chopped garlic and fry for another 1 min. Add spinach and sauté until tender. Fold onto a sieve and squeeze.
Grease the bottom of the baking dish with vegetable oil and lay half the fish with its backs down. Mix the spinach with cheese and egg. Salt, pepper. Lay the spinach mixture evenly on the fish. Lay the second half of the fish on top of the spinach with the backs up. Grease with vegetable oil, sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes at 180 C.
