Indian onion pancakes


  1. Onion 2 pieces
  2. Wheat flour 2 cups
  3. Baking powder for the test 1.5 teaspoons
  4. Sweet Paprika 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Curry 1 teaspoon
  6. Eggs 2 pieces
  7. Chile 1 pinch
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Milk or water optional
  10. Vegetable oil for frying

Step 1: prepare the dough.

Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Add eggs, curry, paprika and a pinch of chili pepper.

Stir well by adding water or milk until the dough is thin enough, although it should still remain quite thick, so add milk or water over a tablespoon at a time.

Step 2: add the onion.

Cut the onion into thin half rings, add to the dough and mix well.

Step 3: Fry Indian Onion Fritters.

Heat the vegetable oil in a pan, put the dough with onions in it with a spoon, forming small pancakes. Fry them until golden on both sides over medium heat.
After frying, lay the dough on paper towels.

Step 4: serve the Indian onion pancakes.

Serve Indian onion pancakes hot. As a sauce, natural yogurt or sour cream is suitable.
